Lawrence Michael Manna Evans, 17, of Palatka, Florida, was born on September 4, 2008, in Gainesville, Florida, to Jermaine Evans and Ashley Floyd. He received his education through the Putnam County School District. Lawrence was a vibrant young man with a deep love for sports and teamwork. He proudly represented Palatka High School, where he participated in football, weightlifting, basketball, and track and field. His dedication, athleticism, and passion were evident both on and off the field. On Sunday, January 4, 2026, Lawrence transitioned from his earthly life to his eternal rest in Gainesville, Florida. Though his life was brief, his impact was meaningful, and he will be remembered for his energy, determination, and the joy he brought to those who knew and loved him.
Lawrence was preceded in eternal rest by his sisters, Spiritual Floyd – Leonard and Princess J. Floyd; great-grandparents, Mary & Otis Washington, Lucille Hagans, and Ralph Floyd; uncle, Lawrence M. Floyd; great aunt, Gracie Gutmanis; and great uncle, Alfred Floyd.

The family of Lawrence will receive extended family, friends, and members of the community on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, located at 624 North 9th Street, Palatka, Florida 32177.
Lawrence will lie in repose on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Palatka High School, and again from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, located at 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177.
The Homegoing Celebration will commence at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church.
