Funeral services for Mrs. Lisa Givens Cheeseboro, 58, of Orangeburg, SC, will be held 1:00pm, Monday, January 12, 2026, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, with interment to follow at Belleville Memorial Garden.

Born June 30, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Cheeseboro was the daughter of Flossie Givens and the late Willie Givens. She passed away at home on January 2, 2026.

A 1985 graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School, Lisa earned her welding certification from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and dedicated 30 plus years of service to Husqvarna and Allied Air Enterprises, where she was affectionately known as “Mama Lisa.”

Lisa Cheeseboro was full of life, always offering help and support to others. Her kindness and generosity were evident in every aspect of her life, and she cherished her family and friends deeply. She was a die-hard Carolina Panters fan, and her unwavering dedication to the team was well known among all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Cheeseboro Sr., son, Kendrick Johnson and grandson Colby Jamal Cheeseboro.

She is survived by her sons, Calvin Cheeseboro of Houston, TX and Franklin Winds Jr. of Columbia, SC.

She also leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Flossie Givens of St. Matthews, SC; five sisters: Peppie Jenkins of Gaston, SC, Stephanie Givens, Lydia Lyles, and Felicia Givens all of Orangeburg, SC, Samantha Givens of Cayce, SC; one brother, William Givens of Orangeburg, SC; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 1-6pm.
