Linda J. Ball

Funeral service for Linda J. Ball 81, will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2 pm at the New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Judge L. Stringer, III, officiating. Interment will follow Hobson City Memorial Gardens. She passed away on January 3, 2025.

Ms. Ball's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Ms. ~Ball was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Missionary Board, Nurses Guild, and Kitchen Board. She graduated from Calhoun County Training School, Class of 1962. She was last employed at Martin's Distribution.

Survivors include her sons: Dwight Ball and Delano Ball (Jutta); her bonus daughter: LaShun Jackson; grandchildren: De'Angelo (Rebecca) Conley, JaCorious K. Ball, and Kamri L. Ball; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Conley, Jeremiah Conley, MaKenzeigh, Marleigh, and Zayleigh; her sister: Beverly Ball; nieces: Cheryl L. Ball, Trina D. Holmes, Jennifer Star, Mesha Parker, Sasha Ball; nephews: Brian K. Burt, Kent D. Martin, Clayton (Jennifer) Cantrel, Chaz Ball; a special family friend: Pam Ervin; cherished circle of friends known as The Wakefield Gang: Katie R. Pyles, Bertha Miller, Sue Summerland, Kathy Caldwell, Debra Butler, and Pam Turner, along with a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Margaret Ball.
