Obituary For Charles Franklin, Jr.

Charles A. Franklin, Jr. "Foxx", 77, of N. 21st St., Harrisburg transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the peace & love of his home. He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Charles A., Sr. and Willa Mae (Clark) Franklin, graduated from Susquehanna Township High School, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, retired from Conrail and the Harrisburg Parking Authority. In his leisure, he enjoyed shooting pool, listening to jazz and loved spending time and sharing wisdom with his children, grandchildren & great-grands and cooking for family and friends. In addition to his parents, Foxx was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bucky" Davis and leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Sharon L. Franklin; his son, Stephen Franklin (Neeah); his daughters, Ginger Beasley, Bridget Baylor (Robert), Dorian Beasley (Wednesday) and Leslie Franklin; his brothers, Ralph Franklin (Edith), Stephen Franklin and David Franklin (Jocelyn); his sister, Terri Winfield; his two special friends, Poncho Sweets and James "Snook" Carey; his ten grandchildren, seven great-grands and a host of other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 212 N. Progress Ave., with viewing 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Ministry of Comfort of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton.
