Obituary for Elizabeth G. Dennis (Liz)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth G. Dennis (Liz).

Elizabeth was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on December 30, 1945. She was the daughter of Mary Lee Gardner and Felix Gardner Sr.. She spent most of her career with the State of Florida, Department of Corrections.

Elizabeth was a compassionate woman whose faith guided her life and her love for others. With an unmistakable sense of humor, she welcomed everyone with an open heart, a patient ear, and a willingness to share wisdom, encouragement, and spiritual guidance with all who crossed her

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira L. Dennis.

She is survived by her beloved children, Kawanis J. Wiggins (John) and Iranetta J. Dennis; grandchildren, Jujuan Willis, Kai Wiggins and Asher Wiggins; great-grandchild, Leilani Willis; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Celebrate New Life Tabernacle, 3050 Agape Lane, Tallahassee, FL 32311. Burial will follow at Indian Branch Pallbearer Cemetery, and the Repast will be at Saint Peters Primitive Baptist Church fellowship hall located 2565 Centerville Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
