Darryl William Abshear, age 65, of Cameron, NC passed away January 7, 2026 at Duke University Hospital. He was born March 3, 1960 in Fairbanks, Alaska to the late Willam Cecil Abshear and Peggy Ruth Wall.

Darryl was a man of peace, had a heart of gold, easy going and good soul, never was he judgmental. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He loved teasing the kids, computer and games. His quick wittiness and humor will be missed. He worked as a Printing Press Operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Abshear.

Those left to cherish his memories include: his brother, Shawn Abshear and (wife) Stephenie of Texarkana; nephew, Travis Abshear; niece, Kristina Abshear Childress; great nieces; Maddison and Aubrey Childress; special friend, Gloria Henderson; along with other family, friends and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, 2:00 pm at 5405 South Plank Rd, Cameron NC 28326.
