SPARTANBURG, SC-- Johnnie M. Jones, 75, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 9, 2026. Mr. Jones was born December 4, 1950 to the late Johnny Jones and Dorothy Harrison Jones.

He was an active member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and a life-long fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Johnnie was a graduate of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio with a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from Polydeck Screen Corporation after 30 years of service.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife of over 42 years Mary A. Jones; and one brother, Larry Jones.

Left to cherish fond memories are: three daughters, LaRita A. (Dayna) Jones-Pigott, Tunya D. Thompson, Tiffany D. Thompson; one son, Juan D. Drummond; his siblings Rita Jones of GA, Debra Jones of GA, Tracey Jones of OH and Rod Jones of OH; his seven grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; and host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, adoptive daughters and sons.

A Celebration of the Life of Johnnie M. Jones will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 2:00p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 645 Old Howard Gap Rd., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Pierre Salmon will officiate.
