Elizabeth “Denise” Overstreet Guillory departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Liz was office manager at Hall Davis and Son Funeral Services for 20 plus years. She was born on April 9, 1956, to the late Nias Overstreet, Jr. and Chardia Louise Mason Overstreet. Denise was united in holy matrimony to Charles “Charlie” Patrick Guillory on November 30, 1974. Together, they shared many years of love, commitment, and devotion until his passing. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Charlie” Patrick Guillory; her brother, Nias Jerome “Steve” Overstreet; her parents, Nias Overstreet, Jr. and Chardia Louise Mason Overstreet; her father-in-love, Allen Guillory, Sr.; and her mother-in-love, Shirley Mae Batiste Guillory. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving and devoted daughter, Mitzi Danita Guillory; her sister, Marva Louise Overstreet Jolivette; her sister-in-love, Cynthia Lewis Overstreet; her devoted friend, Russell Banks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Pastors and congregations of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Cosmopolitan Evangelistic Baptist Church, St. John Missionary Baptist Church, and Little Zion Baptist Church of Opelousas, LA are invited to attend the services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Highway, Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew P. Amedee, Pastor of Cosmopolitan Evangelistic Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Heavenly Gates Cemetery of Baton Rouge. Active Pallbearers will be Hall Davis and Son and Staff.
