Funeral service for Carrie Luke, 88, of Salem, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church, 4454 Lee Road 166, Opelika, AL, 36804 with interment in the Church Cemetery, Reverend S. Dewayne Drakeford will officiate.

Mrs. Luke, who passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, was born April 23, 1937, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Luke will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving daughter Deloise Nunn of Salem, AL; loving son, Ezzard C. Luke of North Charleston, SC; five loving grandchildren, Jameka (Harvey) Marble of Salem, AL, Cody (Ashlee) Waller of Auburn, AL, Vanessa Luke of Graham, NC, Veronica (Louis) Collins of Converse, TX and Brandy Luke of Los Angeles, CA; twelve great-grandchildren, Keziah (Mckenzie), Kaden, Harvey III, Jaden, Jaleel, Amera, Khloe, K’Leaia, Beckett, Kairos, Kyro and Love; three sisters, Mary Harvey of Salem, AL, Shevey Morgan of Salem, AL and Caroline (George) Brown of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Nellie B. Crump; one sister-in-law, Annie B. Ogletree; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
