Obituary For Mrs. Alice Faye Jones

Alice Faye Jones, 70, departed this earthly life on Friday, February 8, 2019. Born on October 20, 1948, Alice was raised on the Hilltop in Lake View, South Carolina to the late Otis and Rosetta Colvin.

She attended the Lake View Schools until transferring and graduating from Rosenwald High School in Fairmont, North Carolina in 1967. Alice went on to work at IBM in Research Triangle Park in Raleigh, North Carolina for nearly twenty-five years.

Alice was a dedicated and dutiful daughter who put family first. Leaving her job at IBM, she returned to Lake View to care for her mother and help operate the famous Hilltop Restaurant. After her mother’s passing, she remained in Lake View continuing to care for her brother.

To The Grieving Family of Ms. Alice Faye Jones...... A message of Solace at The Time of Your Lost of a Loved One………… How Can I Pray and Be Heard by God? WHY THE QUESTION ARISES: People in practically all religions pray. Yet, many feel that their prayers are not answered. WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES: Jesus taught us to avoid repeating set formulas in our prayers. “When praying,” he said, “do not say the same things over and over again.” (Matthew 6:7) If we want God to listen to our prayers, we must pray in the way that he approves. To do that, we need to learn what God’s will is and then pray accordingly. First John 5:14 explains: “No matter what we ask according to [God’s] will, he hears us.” See also Psalm 65:2; John 14:6, 14; and 1 John 3:22. It is my sincere hope that these words/this knowledge helps to sustain you, your family during your Bereavement… Along with your Bible Go to www.jw.org 'Bible' or 'Publications' to answer any bible topic
