In this difficult time, S. Jones F. and C. offer their sincere compassion to the grieving family and friends of Mrs. Vivian Trenella Whitehead Ricks. As they embark on a journey that no family wishes to undertake, we take a moment to reflect on the joy she brought to those around her. Mrs. Ricks passed away on January 15, 2026, at the UNC Nash Medical Center

Services to honor her life and legacy will begin with a public viewing from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, as she lies at the altar of the Light of Peace Baptist Church. Following the public viewing, a Celebration of Life will commence at 2:00 PM.

Committal Rites will take place at the graveside of the St. John Cemetery.
