Catherine Upchurch Daye peacefully transitioned from this life after a long and courageous illness, surrounded by love. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, devotion, and family. Catherine, affectionately known as "Cat," was born on April 9, 1945, in Durham, North Carolina to the late William and Maggie Upchurch.

She was a loving mother, stepmother, and grandmother whose life was centered on caring for others. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took pride in nurturing strong bonds filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Though her illness was long, she faced it with quiet strength and grace, continuing to show love and concern for others even in difficult moments. Her kindness, loving temperament, and devotion to family will be remembered by all who knew her."
