PUBLIC VISITATION for Mr. Louis Hughes will be Friday, January 30, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service.

THE HOME GOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Mr. Louis Hughes, of Aliceville, Alabama will be Saturday, January 31, 2026, 12:00 Noon at Emory Chapel CME Church, 7079 CR 13 in Aliceville, Alabama. The body of Mr. Hughes will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the service.

INTERMENT will immediately follow the service in Bethany Town Cemetery, on Bethany Town Road in Aliceville, Alabama.

Reverend Randy Hughes, the loving son of Mr. Louis Hughes will be The Eulogist. Reverend David McKinstry is Pastor of Emory Chapel CME Church in Aliceville, Alabama.
