09/08/1963 - 01/18/2026

The family of the late Pamela Sue Mansfield would like to express their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation for every act of kindness shown during this difficult time. They are deeply grateful to everyone who shared in honoring Pamela’s life.

Pamela Sue Mansfield, known to everyone simply as Pam, passed away on January 18, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in El Paso, Texas, on September 8, 1963, she was the fourth child and second daughter of Carolyn June Mansfield.

Pam was a woman of distinct character, tough as nails on the outside, but possessing a humble heart of gold. She walked through life with a fierce loyalty to those she loved and a spirit of servitude toward the vulnerable. She dedicated her working life to caring for “the least of these,” offering comfort as a care assistant in nursing homes and pouring her heart into veterinary clinics. If there was an animal in need, Pam was there to adopt, rescue, or heal it.

She was a bright light who never met a stranger, laughing easily and loving often. Her passions were simple but deep: she loved football, she loved her Coors Lite, and she loved her family. While she had a soft spot for animals, nothing surpassed her devotion to her nieces and nephews.

Pam will be deeply missed but vividly remembered. She lives on in the loss of laughter, the sound of a Garth Brooks song, the clink of amber bottles, and the scent of blue jeans and leather.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald “Johnny” Mansfield, and her brother, Jesse “Butch” Watson. She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward, including her mother, Carolyn June Mansfield; her brother, Larry Michael Watson and brother-in-law, Virgil Vandy; her sisters, Deena Carol Watson, Sheryl Lee Sodoma (Steve), and Mary Kimberly Poe (Joel).

Her legacy continues through the nieces and nephews she adored: Jonathan Watson, Haley Meshell Mansfield, John Ryan Caldwell, and Samantha McKay Caldwell. She also held the proud rank of great-aunt to Kairi Marylnn Martin and Lincoln Caleb Martin.
