Robert Charles Davis was born on January 31, 1931, to William T. Davis and Lucille Hagan Davis in Palatka, Florida. He was united in holy matrimony to Mattie Nelson on October 11, 1969. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and also served in the Florida National Guard. He was a proud member of the American Legion. Robert was affiliated with Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Palatka, Florida.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in eternal rest by his wife, Mattie Lee Davis, son, Robert Davis Jr., his sister, Alma Davis Armster; his brother, Ben Davis; and his stepbrother, Earnest W.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Carolyn Davis, stepdaughters, Clara Mae Alexander Holmes (Sylvester), Jeanette Alexander Davis (Arthur), Joan Madeline Alexander Brannon, and Katherine Nelson; sisters, Retha Mae Davis Booker (Jake) and Della Davis Holcy; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation 5-6 p.m., Friday, January 30, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel, 139 N. Main St, Hastings

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church 1501 Bronson St, Palatka, Florida

Interment will be held in Oak Hill West
