Obituary For James Williams

James Curtis Williams, 64, entered his earthly journey peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Mr. Williams was the son of the late Adger and Susie Mattison Williams. He was the husband of Dobbie Hunter Williams for twenty years. . Curtis was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his sisters, Mary W. Jones, Etta Jean W. Sloan (Willie), Carolyn W. Lucas (Lamar C.), Virgina W. Blassingame (Barry), Angela W. Okwuazi and Jessie W. Guy; his brother, Richard A. Williams; his aunt, Jessie M. Head (Robert); his uncle, Waymond Mattison (Helen); his children; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Gloria Hunter; and his brother-in-law, Allen Hunter.

He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Jessie and Etta Mattison; his paternal grandparents, Lee and Jessie H. Williams; his brother-in-law, William E. Hunter; his nephew, William Demorio Jones; and his niece, Ebony Hunter.

A Celebration of the Life of James Curtis Williams will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 502 S. Daniel Morgan Ave., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Dr. M. Keith McDaniel, Sr. will officiate.
