Jerrold Michael Wingfield, age 71, of Athens, GA, passed January 23, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Athens Memory Garden.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, from 12-6 PM at the funeral home

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Wingfield; mother, Jannie Andrews Wingfield and his sister, Betty Stinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Jerrold TaVarus Wingfield; three brothers, Vernon (Brenda) Wingfield of Joppa, Maryland, James (Shirley) Wingfield of Huntsville, Alabama and Frederick “Donnie” (Donna) Wingfield of Detroit, Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Audrey and Londyn Wingfield; cousin and caregivers, Beffie and James Morse; special cousin, Bridgette Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
