Funeral service for Abraham Pugh, 85, of Hammond, IN formerly of Notasulga, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2 Day Lily Street, Loachapoka, AL 36865 with interment in Pine Level Cemetery, 4650 Arrow Head Road, Loachapoka, AL, 36865, Pastor Anthony Shealey will officiate.

Mr. Pugh, who passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 in Auburn, Alabama, was born October 28, 1940, in Barbour County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Pugh will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Timothy (Constance) Pugh of Huntsville, AL and Jocelyn Pugh Peppers of Hammond, IN; four grandchildren, Brandon Pugh of Auburn AL, Ashton Pugh of Huntsville, AL, Everette “Q” Davis of Opelika, AL, Tyler Peppers and Ryan Peppers both of Hammond, IN; three special cousins as siblings, Marjorie Watson of Auburn, AL, Gerri Young and Lancey Ballard both of Notasulga, AL; three nephews, Grover (Gloria) Frazier of Montgomery, AL, Samuel (Janice) Frazier of Loachapoka, AL and Darryl (Krystal) Macon of Detroit, MI; three nieces, Theresa (Chris) Walker, Felicia Frazier both of Montgomery, AL and Kimberly Frazier of Notasulga, AL; “favorite cousin”, Veronica “Cat” Philpot of Notasulga, AL; devoted friends, George and Barbara Ervin of Loachapoka, AL; along with a host of beloved relatives and friends.
