It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deacon Michael Lorenzo Bellamy.

Deacon Michael Lorenzo Bellamy, 69, transitioned on Friday, January 23, 2026.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 615 Tuskegee Street, Tallahassee, FL 32305, with interment following at Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

Deacon Bellamy was employed by the City of Tallahassee in the Streets and Drainage Division.

He is survived by his loving wife, Fannie Collins Bellamy; children, Apryl Bellamy Aikens, Emanuel R. Hudson, Jr. (Tameka), and Derrick Hudson (Latoya); brothers, Rodney Evans (Jeanette), Cedric Evans, William Irving, Lawrence Howard, Kelvin Howard (Deborah), and Derrick Howard (Tracy); sisters, Doretha Pollock and Debra Powe; brother-in-law, Leroy Collins; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Collins, Deborah Brown (Aaron), Malinda Harris (Ricky), Cassandra Thomas-Walker, Annette Simmons and Daisy Dennis; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special cousin/aunt, Katie Weatherspoon, a god-daughter Ebonee Dennis and a host of other relatives and friends.
