Born on July 5, 1961, in Pell City, Alabama, to the
loving union of Marvin and Henry Ella Wynn, she entered
the world as a radiant light, full of promise, warmth, and
joy.
On January 22, 2026, she gracefully transitioned to her
heavenly home, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter,
and unforgettable memories.
A proud graduate of Pell City High School, Class of
1979, she continued her educational journey at Gadsden
State College, where she earned an Associate Degree in
Sociology. Her heart for people and her desire to uplift
others were evident in all she did. She embraced life with
enthusiasm and delight, finding joy in shopping, traveling,
and expressing her creativity through arts and crafts. Her
vibrant spirit, warm smile, and generous heart made every
room brighter.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents,
Marvin and Henry Ella Wynn, and her beloved in-laws,
Samuel and Ruby Freeman.
Celebrating her beautiful homegoing is her loving
and devoted husband, Eric B. Freeman; bonus daughter
and son, Erica (Terrell) Calhoun and Marcus Freeman
of Gadsden, Alabama; two cherished granddaughters,
Corrieanna Underwood and Xy’Mauria Calhoun of
Gadsden, Alabama; four treasured grandsons, Dre’Shun
Moore, Kamauri Moore, and Terrence Calhoun of
Gadsden, Alabama, and Kolten Owens of Muscle Shoals,
Alabama; her siblings, Dennis Green, Diana (Willie)
Hargrove, and Craig Wynn of Pell City, Alabama; one
sister-in-law, Nita Kennedy of Chattanooga, Tennessee;
four brothers-in-law, Iman Majid of Gadsden, Alabama,
Irvin and Victor Freeman of Cleveland, OH and Anthony (Rhonda Michelle)
Freeman of Mobile, Alabama; her loving aunts, Lola Bond, Zeola Youngblood, Doris Young, and Shirly Hensford, all of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, her special friends, Linda
Stough, Ida Mae Sawyer, Patricia Jones, Susan Bryant, and
Sheena Carlisle, all of Gadsden, Alabama; her spiritual
mother, Gannie White; and friends who will forever cherish her joyful spirit and the love she so freely gave.
Her life was a celebration, and her memory will
continue to inspire smiles, strength, and sunshine in the
hearts of all who knew her.
