With loving arms of compassion, S. Jones F. and C. is consoling the heartbroken loved ones of Mr. Michael Earl Sledge, as they prepare to take a journey that no family wishes to take. Mr. Sledge drove the "Last Mile" of the way on January 21, 2026, when he transitioned into eternal rest at the Duke University Hospital.

A public viewing will be held 3 pm - 6 pm, Friday, January 30, 2026, in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:30 pm, Saturday, January 31, 2026, in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.
