MR. CHARLES DANIEL BROWN, 70, son of the late Charlie and Shirley Hutcheson Brown, was born December 27, 1956, in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life January 23, 2026, at his residence in Baskerville, VA. He was also preceded in death by his brother- Everette “Bill” Brown.

At the age of 3, the family moved to New Jersey. He attended Barringer High School in Newark, NJ and later he received his GED.

Charles entered the U.S. Army serving his country and received his Honorable Discharge on July 9, 1980 as Private First Class.

In 1982 he married Ruby McDonald and to this union, a son was born.

Charles was employed by Crumpton and Knowles Chemical Plant for many years until he became disabled. In 2007, he moved back to Virginia.

Charles leaves to mourn his wife- Ruby Brown; two sons- Ra’Juhn and Charles Tyson Brown; sister- Patricia Brown; brother- Anthony L. (Thomasene) Brown; three special nephews- Mark (Jasmine) Brown; Marquis Brown (Ashley), and Markell Brown; two nieces- Kareema Williams and Taquanya Brown; two special great-nephews, Tailiak and Aiden Brown; special great-niece, who was like a daughter to him- Jamiyah Brown; special cousin/brother- James “Scoot” Moore; two aunts- Alfreda Moore and Delores Marshall; uncle- Walter Moore; special friend- Larry Howard along with a host of family and friends.
