Funeral service for Jacqueline Gilbert-Johnson, 68, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon (CST), Friday, February 6, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Terry L. Magby will officiate.

Mrs. Johnson, who passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born January 4, 1958, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (CST)

She leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Scott Gilbert of Danville, PA; three grandchildren, Donavon Taylor, Madison Taylor and Addison Taylor all of Beauregard, AL; a daughter-in-law, Angela Taylor of Beauregard, AL; one sister, Connie Ogletree of Valley, AL; one brother, Michael (Wendy) Taylor of Camp Hill, AL; two aunts, Minnie (Joe) Mackey of Cusseta, AL and Emory Jean Calloway of Valley, AL; one uncle, Thomas (Annie) Calloway of Opelika, AL; three nieces, Tiarra Evans of LaGrange, GA, Brandy (Alvin) Ogletree of McDonough, GA and Bianca Ogletree of Valley, AL; four nephews, Jacobe Taylor, Josh Taylor both of Camp Hill, AL, James Keith of Talladega, AL and Kelvin (Tiffany) Keith of Rockmart, GA; six devoted friends, Muriel Oliver, Vickie Winston both of Opelika, AL, Shirley McGowan of Atlanta, GA, Deborah Nichols of Valley, AL, Anthony Scott of Ladonia, AL and Elatio Jackson of Birmingham, AL; devoted cousin, Sylvia Spratling of Camp Hill, AL; a host of cousins and friends.
