Gwendolyn Porter, age 72 of Athens, GA passed February 3, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home, with interment in East Lawn Cemetery. Public Viewing will be held, Wednesday, 2-6 PM, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: her life companion, Sylvester Morris; one daughter, Adria Baughns; one son, Enrique (Patonia) King; siblings, Wendy (Larry) Porter-Taylor, Donald (Sharon) Porter and Robert (Karla) Harris; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
