Johnny Cleveland Sims, age 74 of Mansfield, OH, formerly of Maxeys GA passed away January 7, 2026.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at First A.M.E. Church, 521 North Hull Street Athens, GA 30601.

The family will receive friends, prior to the memorial
service, from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM at the church

Johnny is survived by: his loving wife, Diane Ross Sims; his son, Grady Gleen Sims;
daughter, Shelly Rae Sims; his brother, Henry "Peter" Grady Sims (Jackie Dee); granddaughter, River Caris; grandson, Greyson James Sims; sister-in-law, Daune Clarke-Demus (Earl).
In addition, Johnny's precious nieces and nephews: Adrian Sims, Regina Smith, Dwayne Sims (Roxanne), Michell Pattman, Linda Lumpkin, Wanda Mason, Phyllis Lane, LaKesia Mack (Quentin), Christina Clarke Baptiste (Steven), Angela Clarke Wilson, Deanna Clarke Koeller (Ryan) and many, many cousins and friends.
