Obituary For Rudy Marcellus Buckner, Sr.

Mr. Rudy Marcellus Buckner, Sr., was born September 25, 1960 to the late Robert Buckner, Sr., and Lillian Buckner. Rudy died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Sebastian River Medical Center.

Rudy was born in Vero Beach, Florida and attended Vero Beach High School. After- wards, he started a lawn service/landscape business which over time was very suc- cessful. Rudy was very talented and skilled in his profession, and he was also well trained in tree services.

Rudy is well known by many for his generosity, and his caring and compassionate affect. He had a “heart of pure gold” and he often gave others the “shirt off his back,” with his warm and gentle personality. Rudy would often deny himself things that he needed at the time and would give it to someone else who happened to be in need also. He employed many people in his lawn care business that needed a second chance at work.

Rudy was a member of the Palm Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years where he was baptized for the remission of his sins. Rudy is awaiting the first resurrection, where in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye; he will be clothed with a white robe by the Lord Jesus Christ and receive his crown of glory that will never fade away.

Rudy is tremendously missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memories forever is his lov- ing wife, Althea Buckner, daughters: Shameka Jackson (Dr. Ajani Jackson), Yolanda Buckner (Jeff Wilson) step- daughter Olivia Brown, sons: Rudy Buckner Jr, Jonathan Buckner, grandchildren: Chayse Jackson, Chole Jackson, Harper Wilson, and Kayla, Journei, and Kennedy; brother: Thomas Buckner, sisters Jaunita Smith, Beronzy Monroe (John), Rudy Buckner, mother –in-law Patricia Canady. Deceased siblings: Geral- dine Buckner, Robert Buckner Jr., and Gloria Buckner.

Public visitation for Mr. Rudy Buckner will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL. Funeral services will convene on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 11:00am at the Palm Bay Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Palm Bay, FL.

Remembering you Rudy. One "bright morning," thou shall hear the Master's call and come forth, just as Lazarus came forth with his grave clothes still on (John 11:43,44). Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust (Isaiah 26;19). "LOVE IS THE GREATEST." 2/17/2021
