Obituary For Twan Bell

Obituary

Twan Bell was born on October 15, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois to Barbara Ann Smith and the late Charles Lee Bell, Jr. His life was tragically cut short on February 9, 2019.

Twan accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age. He was educated in the Birmingham, Alabama public school system, where he graduated with honors from Ramsay Alternative High School in 1988. He matriculated to Morehouse College and pursued and completed studies for a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business, with a concentration in Banking and Finance. Upon graduation, Twan worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Houston and Dallas Texas. He later pursed further Academic enrichment at the University of Rochester where he completed the Master of Business Administration in Finance with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He pursued his entrepreneur vision by starting Insurance Plan Solutions. He later partnered with his wife in her family therapy business.

Twan was a very outgoing and engaging man with an infectious laugh, who loved life and sought to enjoy it to its fullest. He loved to travel and was able to see many parts of the world. He also was very congenial and loved a good high spirited conversation/debate. He loved to cook and experiment in the kitchen with exotic dishes. He loved jazz music but had an appreciation for all genres of music (except country). He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.

His cherish memories are left to his wife of 24 ½ years Adawna S. Bell (Michele), daughter Alaina Marie and son Ty all of Pembroke Pines, Florida. His mother Barbara Bell (Birmingham, Alabama), brothers, Romero Bell of Tampa and Musa Bell of Denver, Colorado, grandmother Mattie Bell of Atlanta, Ga., Aunt Rosa (Pasha) Lateef of Birmingham, Alabama and a host of other relatives and friends. Also cherishing his memory are the friends affectionately known as “the Fellas.”

Twan sought to make life better for his family and friends and his presence will forever be missed but his spirit lives in those that knew and loved him.
