Obituary For Laura Quann

Laura Winfield Quann, 98, of Harrisburg transitioned into eternal life at The Gardens of West Shore on Thursday, February 14, 2019. She was born in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Rev. William J., Sr. and Ermine (Fitz) Winfield, a graduate of the former William Penn High School, attended Howard University and retired from the Commonwealth of PA. Laura was baptized by her father at Monroe Street Church of God, which became Trinity Church of God, where she was a former pianist and faithful member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Quann and daughter, Roseanne Quann; her brothers, William, Charles and Major H. Winfield; her sisters, Rebecca W. Strickland and Marjorie W. Thompson and leaves to celebrate her life, niece and nephews, Rev. Dolly Winfield-Tate (Rev. James N. Tate); Howard (Deborah), Mitchell and Charles Winfield and a host of other relatives and friends. Laura's life will be celebrated on Thursday February 21 at 12 Noon a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing 11 a.m. until Noon and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
