Obituary For Leonard Slaughter

Leonard W. "Snake" Slaughter, 76, of Zarker St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Monday, February 11, 2019 at UMPC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Jessie Slaughter and Joseph Bruce Johnson, a graduate of the former John Harris High School and retired from Laborer's Local #1180 having worked at Peach Bottom and Three Mile Island.

Leonard leaves to celebrate his life, his sons, Leonard Wayne Miller and Shawn Slaughter; his daughters, Joellen, Crystal, Portia and Tyon; his sisters, Lucretia Thompson (Albert), Tonia Morton and Tanya Slaughter and a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His life will be celebrated on Friday, February 22 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

I am so sorry for your loss. Snake was so fun to work with. He was hard working and very productive. I worked with him at TMI during the U2 clean-up days. I saw him a few times after we moved to Harrisburg city. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the memorial service.
