Mrs. Maggie Bennett Price

Passed 02/11/2026

Mrs. Maggie Bennett Price, 79, of High Point, NC, entered eternal rest on February 11, 2026.

Born on November 20, 1946, in Cheraw, SC. Maggie was the beloved daughter of the late Lonnie and Lillian Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Bennett Jr., her devoted husband, Edwin Price, and her son, Tony Miller Sr.

Maggie was a woman whose love was felt in every room she entered. She attended William Penn High School and retired from High Point Elastic. She was known for her incredible cooking. She could prepare a meal that brought family together and filled both hearts and stomachs. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and lasting memories. She had a humorous and witty spirit that kept those around her smiling, and she never missed an opportunity to share a clever remark or warm laugh.

Helpful, loving, and deeply devoted to her family, Maggie gave selflessly of herself. She believed in showing up for the people she loved, whether through a home cooked meal, a listening ear, or words of encouragement.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her children, Robert (Debbie) Bennett, Johanna (Tony) Legrande, Jeffery Miller, Sarah (Derrick) Graham, and Pauline Smith; loving brother, John Bennett; a bonus daughter and son, Latonya Field and Patrick Stone; two sisters-in-law, Etta P. Brannon and Shirley Price; a beautiful legacy of eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; childhood friend, Sandra Cleveland; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, laughter, and legacy will live on in every recipe shared, every family gathering, and every story told in her honor.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at United House of Grace & Mercy, 1309 Leonard Avenue. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
