The Beloved Mellie Gelzer, 89, of Charlotte went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Mellie passed from this life into her eternal life at home surrounded by the love of her family.

Family and Friends will celebrate the life of Mellie on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at New Outreach Christian Center, 3900 Gossett Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28208.

Celebration of Life: 12:00 Noon

Burial will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Sand Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1961 Summers Road, Ridgeville, SC 29472.
