Obituary For Norrise Smith

MR. NORRISE SMITH - Age 65, of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was born on September 14, 1953 in Florence, Alabama. He graduated from Dalton High School with the class of 1971, was a member of Community Fellowship Church of Ministries, and was retired from J&J Carpet Mill. He was preceded in death by his father, Aristide Smith, Sr., stepfather, Earnest Dwight, Sr., and brother, Earnest L. Dwight, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Willodean Brown Dwight; brothers, Dwight Smith of Rocky Face, Georgia and Aristide ( Rev. Christine) Smith, Jr. of Shaker Heights, Ohio; sisters, Wilma (Curtis) Harolson of Dalton, Georgia, Min. Kathleen Phillips of Rocky Face, Bernice (Charlie) Mariney of Dalton, and Patrice Smith of Pennsylvania; godsister, Skylar (Ricky) Simmons; godmother, Alice Brown Gant; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Community Fellowship Church of Ministries, 409 N. Fredrick St., Dalton, Georgia, with Rev. David Thomas and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday after 11:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M.
