As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, S. Jones F. and C. joins with loving arms wrapped around the loved ones of Deacon Woodall Ellsworth Savage, Jr. as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with him. Deacon Savage got his ticket and stepped on that Glory Train bound for Glory on February 09, 2026 in the comfort of the Edgecombe Rehabilitation Center, Tarboro, NC.
Services to reflect on “The Dash” of Deacon Savage's life, which was from his time of birth until the moment he entered into everlasting rest, are finalized by his cherished family. A visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Long's Chapel Church in Hobgood, NC, a place he cherished deeply. During this time, you are invited to embrace the family and share memories of the good times spent with Deacon Savage.
A Service to Honor his Legacy of Love and Dedication will be held 2 pm, Friday, February 20, 2026 in the sanctuary of the Long's Chapel Church.
Deacon Savage earthen remains will be laid to rest in the Joyner Family Cemetery.
