Born May 25, 1944, in Kellyville, Oklahoma, Anita dedicated her life to caring for others. She created a home filled with laughter, the aroma of home-cooked meals, and the steady hum of her sewing machine. A gifted cook, she owned and operated several cookeries, sharing her talent and hospitality with many. Her sewing skills were equally remarkable, crafting everything from handmade outfits and dresses to treasured keepsakes for her large family.

An avid reader, Anita was rarely without a book or her Kindle. Her sharp wit and lively humor brightened every gathering, and she always had a clever remark ready to lift spirits. Over the years, she also worked in a cabinet shop and later retired as a houseparent at the TK Ranch.

Anita spent her final days at her beloved lake home, surrounded by cherished memories of family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Currie; her parents, Harry and Anita Irwin; and her brother, Terry Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Currie and wife Heidi of Florida; Gina LeGrand and husband Mike of Paradise, Texas; and Glenna Currie and partner Kathy of Wichita Falls, Texas; granddaughters Chanda Jones, Maranda Lay, Shelby Moore, and Chelsy Cornelius; her adored great- and great-great-grandchildren; and brothers Rusty McCoy, Timmy Martin, and Tommy Robinson.

She will be deeply missed, and her love and stories will live on for generations.
