Mrs. Rosetta Wilson Williams

10/28/1941 - 02/13/2026

Rosetta Wilson Williams, affectionately known as “Nana”, was born on October 28, 1941, in Mocksville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Eva Ijames Wilson and Ervin Clinton Wilson. After an extended illness and declining health, she peacefully passed away on February 13, 2026, and was reunited with her Lord and Savior.

Before relocating to Winston-Salem, Rosetta was a devoted member of Smith Grove A.M.E. Zion Church. Throughout her career, she worked diligently at Blackwelder Manufacturing, Hanes Distribution Center, and AT&T. After retiring, she dedicated her life to caring for her family members. Her greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished throughout their childhood. She delighted in taking them to school, stopping at McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A for forbidden snacks, and sharing her love for classic R&B music. In her eyes, Jaime, Jaren, Danielle, Dasia, and Jasmine were always perfect.

Rosetta bravely fought a long and arduous battle with dementia. While many memories were lost, she never forgot her children, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Leroy Wilson, Bobby Wilson, and George Wilson.

Rosetta leaves behind a legacy of loving memories that will be cherished by her lifelong partner, David Imes, in Durham, North Carolina, her daughters, Darlene Hinson (Michael) in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Deitra Toone (Damon) in Durham, North Carolina, her granddaughters, Jaime Joyner (Lamar) in Burlington, North Carolina, and Danielle and Dasia Toone, her great-grandchildren, Jaren and Jasmine Joyner, her sister, Sandra Holman, her brother Harold Wilson (Ethel), and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
