Funeral service for Mary Card, 86, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Mount Pelia Missionary Baptist Church, 377 Lee Road 78, Camp Hill, AL 36850 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Otis Tyner, Jr. will officiate.

Mrs. Card, who passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born May 17, 1939, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Card will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a granddaughter, Christy Foster; three great-grandchildren, Navaeh Foster, Marissa Ruiz and Aries Thomas; one brother, Elder (Doris) Knight of Opelika, AL; nieces, Ella (Rex) Huffman, Pat (Fred) Bennett, Anita Torrance all of Auburn, AL, Diane (Lester) Whitlow, Donna Ray, Tracy (William) Anderson, Teresa Knight-Hogan all of Opelika, AL, Vickie Knight, Yolanda Cleveland (Lethimyle) Knight of Long Island, NY, Charlotte Barnett of Columbus, GA, Angela Leverette, Rita Black both of Phenix City, AL, Sharon Farrow of Tampa, FL and Nettie Wilson of Montgomery, AL; nephews, Kenneth (LaShawna) Black of Chattanooga, TN, Anthony Knight, Bennie Knight of Long Island, NY, James Knight of Auburn, AL, Spencer Black, Willie “Duke” Knight both of Opelika, AL and Rodney (Margaret) Knight of Erie, PA; a host special great and great-great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
