Obituary For Cynthia Steele Hemphill

Cynthia Steele Hemphill, born February 14, 1956 on the south side of Chicago Illinois, was one of the kindest souls one could know. At the age of 62, she passed away at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce Florida on February 8, 2019. Cynthia was a long-time member of New Destiny Family Worship Center, where she learned to build a stronger relationship with God. She was a true example of a woman of God. You could see her light shinning as she touched the lives of so many with love, positivity, happiness and guidance.

In high school Cynthia learned to sew and made her first shirt and blouse. She later learned how to knit and made her first multi-color blanket. Cynthia also had the opportunity to leave the country going to Spain for her high school graduation trip. Cynthia loved to travel and explore. She also furthered her education in becoming a Certified Medical Assistant at MedVance in 2012. Cynthia was a loving and kind mother, sister, auntie, and role model. She raised her sons to be respectful gentlemen and taught them to love and respect each other as well as others. And because of her relationship with God, she always thought about everyone else’s well-being before herself. She will be missed by the many kids lives she toughed while living in Ft Pierce. She saw to it that all of them had the chance to grow into positive individuals in the community. Cynthia will be missed by many but never forgotten.

She is survived by three sons, Paul Hemphill, Ernest Knight, and Joshua Knight of Fort Pierce Florida, three grandchildren, Kedrick Anderson, Tahj Hemphill, and Paula Hemphill of Fort Pierce Florida, one great grandchild, Jordan Anderson of Fort Pierce Florida, three sisters and one brother, Marcia Hemphill, Steve Hemphill, Mary Hemphill, of Chicago Illinois, and June Hemphill of Tampa Florida.

Public visitation for Ms. Cynthia Hemphill will take place on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at New Destiny Family Worship Center in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 12:00pm.
