Jose Natividad Segura, 85 of Bowie, TX entered into eternity on Saturday, February 14th, 2026.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Jose was born in 1940 in Los Almos, Coahuila, Mexico. He was one of 8 children and spent his early years in his Mexico, where he developed a love for music and became known as a talented musician, playing with the band Los Pavoreales. In Mexico he met Antonia, with whom he raised eight children. Seeking a better life for his family, Jose moved to the United States, first working in factories in Iowa before settling in Bowie, Texas. The Segura family was among one of the first Hispanic families in Bowie. While here, he worked at ford dealership.
During his time in Bowie, Jose experienced a life-changing encounter with the Lord and dedicated his life to ministry. He opened his home for church services and later moved to Fort Worth, where he continued preaching throughout Texas. He was known for his deep knowledge of Scripture, his passion for evangelism, and his love for worship through music.
Jose is survived by his wife Antonia, children and grandchildren; his son, Jose Jr. Segura; his daughter, Maria Chavez; and his brother, Manuel Segura, all of Bowie, Texas; his sons Jesse, Carlos, Humberto and Juan Segura and many extended family members and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Jose will be remembered for his strong faith, his music, his preaching, and his love for sharing un cafecito with family and friends.
