On February 17, 2026, our beloved Annette Amey-Jones peacefully transitioned into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love.
Born on February 3, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the beloved child of Willie Thomas Amey and Elizabeth Amey. She was preceded in death by her loving brothers, Milton Amey, Sr., Willie Thomas Amey, Jr., and Alexander Amey, whose memories she cherished deeply and whose legacy of family and strength lives on through those who remain.
Annette was a proud and devoted mother to her four children: Aggentrice Grier, Schnith Amey, Alfranio Wright, and Terrence Owens, whom she lovingly welcomed during her marriage to James Jones. Her children were her greatest treasures, and she poured into them wisdom, protection, and unwavering support.
Annette was also the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren:
Darious Amey, Devontè Amey, Hennessy Powell, Aggentrice Grier, Jr., Salih Bannister, LaShawn Wright, and Antwanette Grier. Her legacy continues to flourish through her three great-grandchildren, who carry forward her strength, spirit, and love.
Annette is lovingly remembered by her sister, Carolyn Amey, along with a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and dear friends whose lives she deeply impacted. Her love extended far beyond immediate family, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Annette Amey-Jones carried a spirit of determination, kindness, and faith that would guide every step of life’s journey.
