Obituary For Mr. Joseph Lee Davis

Joseph Lee “Bubba” Davis was born on September 15, 1947 in Dillon County, South Carolina to the late Joseph Arnell Davis and Hazel Teen Bethea Davis. On Friday, February 22, 2019 he entered into eternal rest.

Bubba attended the public schools of Dillon County. After his graduation he moved to Brooklyn, New York where he owned and operated a tire shop. He later moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he was employed with Locke Insulators for twenty-eight years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #33. Joseph who was affectionately called “Joe” by his wife, Vanessa lived a very full life.

Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a brother: Thornell “Pumpkin” Davis.

Bubba leaves to cherish his memories ~ his loving wife: Vanessa; two sons: Joseph (Doreen) Davis Jr. of West Haven, Conn and Bernard Davis Jr. of Baltimore, MD; three daughters: Terri Davis, Tanya (Joe) both of New Haven, Conn and Darcela (Eddie) of Baltimore, MD; six sisters: Lillie Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC, Milla Alford of Ft. Mills, SC, Gladys Davis of the home, Linda (Ambrose) Johnson of the home, Linda Gardner of Baltimore, MD and Kimberly Jones of Manhattan, NY; three brothers:Melvin Smith of Brooklyn, NY, Samuel Smith of Champagne, IL and Godson Antwann of Baltimore, MD; three special cousins: William (Joyce) Campbell of Upper Marlboro, MD, Delores (Freddie) Wilson and Curtis Wilson both of Latta, SC; two special nephews: Johnny (Elaine) McClain of Poconos, Penn; fifteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters-n-law, one brother-n-law all of Baltimore, MD; best friend: Wesley of Baltimore, MD and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
