Mr. Leason Hall Ratliff, 92, of Guston, KY died Monday, February 23, 2026 at his son's residence.

He was Valedictorian of My Old Kentucky Home Class of 1951. He was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Boston, KY, he was a carpenter, he built Horse barns, ran a spreader truck service for 30 years, custom harvesting across 4 counties, bred Cows for the KABA, State Farmer FFA, a member of the Spotted Poland China Hog Registry, also a member of the Holstin Registry, and DHIA Dairy Record Keeping Association. He was a member of the Senior Citizen Club at Brandenburg, KY. He enjoyed bird hunting through the years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved dearly. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by a brother Gale Ratliff, two sisters, Glecia LaRocca and Freda R. Thomas. A great-grandchild Reese Marie Coffey.

He is survived by three sons, David (Diane) Ratliff, Eastview, KY, Stephen (Greedith) Ratliff of Munfordville, KY and Richard (Patty) Ratliff, Wilmington, Ohio; a daughter Janet (James) Tyre of Shepherdsville, KY; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Doug Sanders officiating. Burial to follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
