Narva Dell Perry
June 4, 1960 - February 6, 2026

The book of life began for Narva Dell Perry on June 4, 1960, when God breathed life into her and began her beautiful story. She was the fourth child born to the late Willie James and Elmetra Perry. Her foundation in faith, service to mankind, and Christian values began at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, where she remained a lifelong and devoted member.

Narva graduated from West Point High School and continued her education at Mississippi State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. She was deeply committed to education and dedicated herself to enriching the lives of children by tutoring them in mathematics, helping to strengthen their skills and confidence. Her life was marked by service, compassion, and a genuine desire to uplift others in her community.

Narva had many passions that brought her joy. She enjoyed African pottery painting, solving Sudoku puzzles, gardening, and shopping for bargains. She delighted in baking cakes and pies during the holidays and on ordinary days alike, generously sharing her homemade treats with friends and family. She was an avid sports fan who loved watching her beloved North Carolina Tar Heels play basketball, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mississippi State University Bulldogs and listening to the West Point Green Waves every Friday night. Win or lose, she remained a faithful and enthusiastic supporter. She was also a devoted pet lover who found great comfort and companionship in caring for animals.

She was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, exemplifying its principles of sisterhood, scholarship, and service while living in West Point.

On Friday, February 6, 2026, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Narva departed her earthly life to be with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmetra and Willie James Perry, and two sisters, Williette Perry and Karita Perry.

Mourning her passing is her loving family; Twin sister Marva Nell Perry, Nephew Keither Perry, God sister Avis Topps, Special cousins, Augusta Chambers, Vicki Amos and Pearl Black; adopted childhood family; The Ivy Family- Michael, Carl, Patricia, Lynn, Barbara Harris (Robert), Charles (Tamara), Glenn (Lisa), Kevin (Sharon), Derrick and a host of close relatives, friends and colleagues.
