Dr. Taylar N. Williams, 32, of Leesburg, Georgia departed this life Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

Public viewing will be Friday, March 6, 2026 at Meadows Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Sherwood Baptist Church, 2201 Whispering Pines Rd, Albany, GA 31707

Dr. Taylar N. Williams of Leesburg, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Saturday,
February 28, 2026, at the age of 32, surrounded by her faithfully devoted husband.
A devoted wife and loving mother, Dr. Williams treasured her family above all else.
She is survived by her husband, George Williams III, and their four beautiful
children, Noelle Williams, Nova Williams, George Williams IV, and Grant Luke
Williams; the cherished daughter of Eric and Ariel Martin; and a devoted sister to
Noah Martin and Tori Martin. Taylar was also deeply loved by her grandfather
Roosevelt Ackey and her late grandmother Pansy Ackey.
Dr. Williams was a beloved educator, leader, and community servant who
dedicated more than a decade of her life to helping children thrive. She
represented the very best of HBCU excellence. She served with grace as the 72nd
Miss Albany State University during the 2014 to 2015 academic year and was a
proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., initiated through the Gamma
Sigma Chapter.
After earning her bachelor's and master's degrees from Albany State, she went on
to receive her Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University.
At the time of her passing, she served as Assistant Principal at Lee County Primary
School, where her passion for education and commitment to fostering a positive,
inclusive environment were felt every day by students, families, and colleagues
alike.
Known for her vibrant spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering commitment to
excellence, Dr. Williams touched countless lives through both her work and her
presence. Her leadership extended beyond the classroom and into the hearts of
everyone she met. She was widely respected as a mentor, teacher, and source of
encouragement to families, students and staff.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, students, and the entire
educational community. May her memory be a blessing, and may her legacy
endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Interment will be Monday, March 9, 2026 in the Bright Star Cemetery, 5164 Bankhead Highway, Carrollton, Georgia 30116.
