Betty Faye Dorman 87, of Bowie, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27th, 2026.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, with Rex Hamilton officiating.

Betty was born July 11, 1938, in Bowie to Bill and Faye Evans. She graduated from Bowie High School in 1956, where she was a majorette in the band. On July 26th, 1968, Betty married Gene Dorman in Wichita Falls, TX. Her passions were working in the yard, her love of animals and her devotion to family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Ronnie.

Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years Gene Dorman; sister-in-law, Brenda Furrh and nephew, Michael Furrh both of Arlington, TX; and several cousins.
