Mr. Roy Brooks Sr. was born September 16,1932 in Smithfield, NC. He departed his earthly body to be in the presence of the Lord on April 21, 2016 at 5:30 am. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mae F. Brooks, five children Charlotte Mitchell, Roy Brooks Jr. (Vanessa), Kenneth Brooks (Tameka), Tracy Brooks (Donna), Eula Brooks, four sisters Mary Burton (Author), Nellie Mae Bullock (Clarence), Brenda Turner (Sherrwood), Yvonne Downey (Chester), one brother Willie Lewis Brooks (Pattie). 34 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, friends and family. Visitation will be at 11 am funeral at 12 noon on Thursday, April 28, at The River Church, 4900 Prospectus Dr in Durham.
