Myles Hunter
August 4, 1951 — March 2, 2026

Myles Clifton Hunter, affectionately known as “The Great One,” was born on August 4, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee to his devoted mother, Liddie May Hunter Braddy, and his father, Monroe Hunter, Sr. He was also lovingly raised by his stepfather, Percy Braddy, who played an important role in his life. He departed this life on March 2, 2026, at St. Thomas Hospital, Midtown.

Myles was a man of great faith whose life reflected strength, perseverance, and purpose. Water was his church when he would go fishing, he just wasn’t fishing he was also talking to God!

He received his education in the Davidson County Public School System, where the foundation was laid for his strong work ethic and determination.

In 1987, Myles was united in holy matrimony to Gina Crawford, beginning a chapter of companionship and commitment. He earned his living as a brick mason and entrepreneur, taking pride in his craftsmanship and the legacy of hard work he built through his trade.

In his leisure time, Myles found joy in fishing, cooking, home remodeling, and watching westerns. These simple pleasures brought him peace and happiness and were often shared with those closest to him.

Myles “The Great One” will be remembered for his unwavering faith, strong hands, generous heart, and the impact he made on all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Monroe Jr., Gale, and Dorothy.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devote wife, Gina Crawford Hunter; loving children, Latora, Melodie, Monique, Erika, Terry; siblings, Dolly Allen, Futina Carlton; nieces and nephews, Debra, Sharon, Monroe III, Tasha, Georgia, Clifton, John Jr.; grandchildren, De’Nee, Halle, AiJaydin, Angel-Nay, Messiah; great granddaughter, Saylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
