Obituary For Helen Ellis

Helen Jean Ricardson Ellis passed on May 13th, 2016 at approximately 11:16 pm while at home, she slipped away into the arms of the Lord for eternal rest. On July 2nd, 1949, the late Huge and Josie Dale Richardson gave birth to Helen Jean Richardson, their 4th baby girl in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Helen attended Eva H. Harris High School in Brookhaven, Mississippi and graduated in the spring of 1968. From high school, Helen joined the United States Army and started her first assignment in Oakland California. In 1971 Helen moved to Boston, Massachusetts were she remained until 1989. She retired in 2002 after 21 years of service and decided to make Durham, North Carolina her home. She left the military profession as an E6 sergeant with high honors and accolades for her long standing commitment and dedication to serve. Services are on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Faith Assembly Christian Center, 3120 Fayetteville St. at 12 noon and wake at 11:00 am.
