MRS. REBA SUE SHELTON SOUTHERN - Age 73, of Chickamauga, GA (Kensington Community) passed away from this earthly life to eternal peace on Sunday, March 8, 2026. She was born October 13, 1952 to her late parents, Clifford and Emma Lewis Shelton, Sr. and was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hinton, brothers, Clifford, Jr. and Rufus Shelton, sister-in-law, Aubria Jean Shelton, and grandson, Rodney Maurice Hill, Jr. A graduate of Northwestern Technical School in 1972; Reba worked at American Consumers, Inc. (ShopRite) retiring after Forty-Six Years as Corporate Secretary and Assistant Treasurer.

Reba has left precious memories for her loving and affectionate husband of Fifty-Five Plus Years, James R. Southern, Sr., two daughters, Sonya (Rodney) Hill, Sr., Adairsville, GA, Aubria G. Stalling, Chickamauga, GA, two sons, James Southern, Jr. Lilburn, GA and Kevin Southern, Chattanooga, TN, one granddaughter, Jaylah Cosby, Chickamauga, GA, nine grandsons, Jabree Southern, Chattanooga, TN, Clifford Rasheed Hill, Chattanooga, TN, James Southern, III and Landon Southern, both of Lilburn, GA, Jordan Southern, Chattanooga, TN, MaJoure Southern, Chattanooga, TN, James, Jr. and Jacob Stalling, LaFayette/Chickamauga, GA, and Messiah Southern, Chattanooga, TN, ten great-grands, sister, Geneva (Rev. William) Tramble, Chickamauga, GA, brother, James C. Funeral Service for Reba Sue Shelton Southern will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 247 Southern Rd. Chickamauga, GA. 30707 with Pastor William Tramble and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment, Garmany Memorial Garden.
