Gwendolyn Barnette, of Montgomery, AL, passed away on March 6, 2026. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Freewill Missionary Baptist Church, 1724 Hill Street, Montgomery, AL 36108, with Pastor Quentin Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Barnette will lie in repose at the church one hour before the service.
