OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Linda Gail Boykin, 69, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, SVD will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mrs. Boykin’s memories are being cherished by: her loving husband of 35 years, Mr. Edgar Boykin, Jr. of Opelousas, LA; seven brothers, Sidney (Clarnette) Henry, Michael (Rosa) Chenier, Phillip (Charlene) Chenier, Johnelle (Karen) Chenier, John (Betty) Chenier, Kenneth Chenier and Larry Chenier, all of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Joyce Vappie, Madeline Richard and Pamela Chenier, all of Opelousas, LA and Carolyn Taylor of Nashville, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. Benjamin Chenier and Mrs. Marie Thibodeaux Chenier; six brothers, Curt Chenier, Jevin Chenier, Raymond Chenier, Benjamine Chenier, Jr., Merrick Chenier and James Chenier; four sisters, Mary Martin, Thelma Cross, Reese Sonnier and Velma White; and his nephew, Lorenzo Chenier.

Vsitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
